In the late '90s Miranda July coordinated the Big Miss Moviola project which produced some dozen Chainletter VHS compilations of women made movies:
"Big Miss Moviola is a distribution network for lady-made movies. It is also a community-based project which helps girls and women gain access to video equipment and receive the encouragement and support that all story-tellers need."

This Directory for Chainletter #12 is printed fanzine-style by Miranda July (c. 1999), seven 8 1/2" x 14" sheets of paper photocopied black & white, folded over into a booklet. It includes descriptions of the films included on the VHS tape, information about movie-making and Big Miss Moviola.
