The Spells
This was two guitars and two voices in pure melodious rock'n'roll grandeur. Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney, Wild Flag, Portlandia) and Mary Timony (Ex-Hex) played off each other brilliantly, weaving and spinning their guitar and vocal styles with subtle intricacy.
