Teenage Fanclub, like so many emotionally disturbed children of Glasgow, have been fans and allies of the K since time immemorial. They chose to cover songs by two of their major influences, Alex Chilton ("Free Again") and Beat Happening ("Bad Seeds"), for their volume in our International Pop Underground series of 7" 45 rpm phonograph records.

Produced by another K artist, Don Flemming (he played in both Velvet Monkeys and Half Japanese on their previous K releases). "Free Again" also appears on the International Hip Swing [KLP016] compilation CD.

The cover painting for "Free Again" is by Heather Lewis (Beat Happening).
