The first single from the upcoming Winston Hightower album 100 Acre Wood [prnl65/KLP315] is out now, "Lay Low." The accompanying videograph for "Lay Low" was directed by Jolie M-A in Olympia, Washington while Winston was on an extended stay in town recording and performing around the Northwest. In the "Lay Low" videograph you'll see Winston Hightower wandering in the woods, playing melodica, charming a child, recording 100 Acre Wood, and cruising around the NW. Sweet.
Says director Jolie M-A about working with Winston, "The video was shot this past August when Winston was in town to play Northern Sky Festival and finish recording his album. Most of the footage was done outside the home studio (Olympic Mobile Control) in between vocal takes. Hayes's brother Charles (Milk Music) was in town with his wife and baby and were witness to the 100 Acre Woods magic. Charles ended up playing bass on a track, and baby Barbie ended up starring in the video a little bit after we went to go pick blueberries around the block."
Prepare to be charmed yourself by Winston Hightower and the new 100 Acre Wood [PRNL65/KLP315], out in phonograph record emporiums everywhere April 17, available for PRE-ORDER from The K Mail Order Dept. right now.
