Last Friday (May 15) Touch Girl Apple Blossom played a Graceful [PRNL69/KLP318] album release party in their hometown of Austin, Texas. Graceful being the debut album by Touch Girl Apple Blossom, a band that has come to mean so much to so many. According to Dustin, who sings and plays electric bass guitar in Touch Girl Apple Blossom, the evening was a smashing success. "It was like a fun smiley blur, like a hot crazy house show…but at a bar. Friends who don’t typically come out did. Strangers who saw us on the cover of our local paper came out and bought records.
"The opening bands Us the U.S. & Heartknit couldn’t have been better (for real). It was just one of those perfect nights, tbh. We played our entire record front to back and ended with a new song called 'I Love You' & the first song we ever wrote, 'Sidewalk.' It was by far the longest set we’ve ever played (like 40 minutes which is psychotic to me) but it really didn’t feel like it."
If you weren't able to make it to the Touch Girl Apple Blossom Graceful album release party, you can still celebrate by viewing one of their fine videographs released earlier this year, "Heart-Go," "Vacation" and "Springtime Reminds me of..."
Of course the Touch Girl Apple Blossom album Graceful [PRNL69/KLP318] is available on both LP and compact disc from The K Mail Order Dept.
