It's The Crabs, and they're not back, because they never went anywhere. Kinda. The important news is The Crabs have a new single out today, "The World Can't Bring You Down."

After their apocryphal 1999 LP Sand and Sea [KLP095] The Crabs (Lisa Jackson, Jonn Lunsford) settled into Anacortes, Washington and a lower-profile existence as a band. Over the ensuing decades, they added other members to the combo, as they are wont to do (you may recall Ryder Greene during the "Alien Girl" period, or Sarah Dougher during the Sand and Sea days). In Anacortes they added Anacortes people: their children Zinnia Jackson and Vince Jackson, plus other assorted pals. The Crabs kept up a periodic schedule of recording, mostly at The Unknown studio (also located in Anacortes, Washington).

Now the time has come to collate all these seemingly random recordings by The Crabs over the last so many odd years onto one collection, Years at the Unknown [KLP300], which will be available mid-August, 2025. One may PRE-ORDER Years at the Unknown via the K Bandcamp site.

"The World Can't Bring You Down" is the first of three digital singes from Years at the Unknown; listen to it HERE.
