Subvert, the Tacoma/Olympia amalgam of '80s hardcore luminaries have reissued their 1987 Demo Tape as a 7" EP on Jankuland Records. recorded by Jack Endino at Reciprocal Studio, Demo Tape was orignally self-released as a cassette only that became highly sought after by NW hardcore fans, listed by PUSHEAD on his top 100 hardcore releases of the '80s.
Subvert are comprised of various fans and players involved in the NW hardcore scene since its inception. Singer Eric Greenwalt had been attending shows in Olympia and Tacoma since he could crawl and was a member of Olympia's legendary Nazi Boy Scouts. John Grant and John Purkey both played in one of Tacoma's first hardcore bands, Noxious Fumes, who released a cassette on K in 1985.
