Skep Wax Weekender!

It's the event of the summer, the year, the decade! The fine folks at Skep Wax, an up and coming underground pop record label organized by Rob Pursey and Amelia Fletcher (members of the Catenary Wires, Heavenly, Swansea Sound) are hosting a four day music outing July 17 through 20 at the Lexington & Islington Assembly Hall in London, England - - - Skep Wax Weekender!

Says Rob Pursey, "If you're in London there won't be more fun to be had than attending this event. We don't very often say this, but for those four days London is the place to be. Because of us." Adds Amelia Fletcher, "I'm just really looking forward to it. It will be brilliant. And it won't be rubbish." Spoken like a true native of the British Isles.

Rob, ruminating on why this was scheduled in the middle of the year, states "We decided to do it in summer when there's nobody around. July and August are both rubbish times, everyone will be at festivals with the grass. For me its good because I do not like seeing music in the open air. We have no grass. we offer walls. And cement."

The entire array of Skep Wax artists are on the bill over the four evenings, except Rob and Amelia's combo Catenary Wires ("They'll see enough of us"). Prepare to be dazzled by Janines, Sassyhiya, Panic Pocket, Swansea Sound, The Orchids, Heavenly, Lightheaded, Crumbs, The Gentle Spring, Special Friend, Marlody. If one is not familiar with the music of these artists, Amelia has prepared a handy Skep Wax introductory playlist to ease one into the fray.

There is one artist performing NOT affiliated with Skep Wax - - - Would-Be-Goods. They're just too good to resist.

Another reason to attend this momentous occasion is it features Heavenly's sole show of 2025 (!) and the debut of the new Heavenly 7" 45rpm "Portland Town" - - - wahoo.

No doubt in years to come thousands more will reminisce about having attended this event then could ever possibly fit in the Assembly Hall - - - Don't you be one of those - - - grab your tickets HERE.
