Above: the ever stylish Kai Slater of Sharp Pins.
The new Sharp Pins album, Turtle Rock [PRNL064/KLP311], is not at all new. It was released a couple years back as a Hallogallo cassette tape. Unfortunately, that tape has been out of print for a couple dzn months. But wait - - - good news - - - Turtle Rock is back! This Friday, October 10, one may find Sharp Pins, Turtle Rock in phonograph record emporiums across the globe, reinvented as a long playing (LP) record. How neat is that?
Of course, the Turtle Rock LP is available now from The K Mail Order Dept. One may also PRE-ORDER the upcoming Sharp Pins album Balloon Balloon Balloon [PRNL62/KLP310], recorded earlier this year in Olympia, Washington, on breaks from various Sharp Pins tours about.
In case you're wondering, Sharp Pins are like if Wassily Kandinsky stood on his paintings barefoot and strummed a guitar with paint brushes - - - that's how beautiful, disorienting and transcendent the music of Sharp Pins hits one; It's all terribly eerie in this time of ghosts.
