Above: Now have a new single out from their upcoming LP Now Does the Trick [PRNL58/KLP303]
Tumbling forward from Now into the future, our heroes have set forth a new single of their delicious strummy drummy bunny hop-headed soundz "The Ballad of Joy Bang." View the accompanying videograph directed by Karina Gill HERE. Campfires and grocery aisles; it's all mildly addictive.
But then, what's it all about? From Will Smith of Now: “'The Ballad of Joy Bang' is a collage, inspired by foggy '70s horror flicks and also our cat Corata. It’s partly about a cult taking over your sleepy beach town, lighting ritual bonfires on the sand at night— but then my friend was looking for a toy and asked 'Kitty, where’s your wire?' the moment I had written the chords. I thought it was a great glam lyric and knew it had to be in there. Thank you Thomas and thank you Joy Bang."
Extracted from the upcoming Now album Now Does the Trick [PRNL58/KLP303] this is another taste of what Northern Calif. is Now extruding across the continent. We all want more.
