The debut IROIRO album (IROIRO!) is in stores this Friday, October 30. In preparation IROIRO has been playing shows all over the NW, with four album release parties scheduled in the next ten days. The first is this Friday night in Tacoma, Washington! Big ups to the City of Destiny, they get IROIRO on record release night! Check the K Shows page for complete information about all the upcoming IROIRO events.
Earlier this month IROIRO visited their fave low-power FM station, SPACE 101.1 FM in Magnuson Park for what is known as "The Big Takeover" - - - IROIRO commandeered the airwaves for the afternoon to play whatever strikes their fancy. Let's hear all about it from IROIRO keyboardist Michiko Swiggs,"It is definitely our favorite micro-station in Seattle, they have excellent taste in music! Our episode aired last Saturday and you can hear us play songs from our new record, music by some of our favorite artists, and listen to us chat all about these things. Featuring Mt Fog, ONONOS, some surprises, Medicine, The Stargazer Lilies, and The Veldt. Thank you to Mitch at SPACE for having us, it was super fun!"
One may listen to the IROIRO on Space101 HERE.
