Cascading guitars and thundering drums suggest a liveliness more hopeful than grunge, a sprightliness more agile than garage. Then you hear the lyrics "open up those wounds, here comes the salt" - - - oh, brother, stand back, somebody is in for it. In the accompanying videograph director Isaac Olsen has captured the poignancy of the Girl Trouble saga as his camera gently surveys the perimeter: the practice shed (in constant use since 1983), the house where The Big Kahuna and Bon Von Wheelie grew up, the white tour van wrapped in a shroud, the band members themselves at their instruments.

You can learn more about Girl Trouble later today when they appear over the airwaves (and internet) of Olympia's KAOS-FM, interviewed by Tom Dyer on FreeForm NW, 4:00 PM PDT. This will be a riot. Listen in!
