Above: this weekend fish narc drum and strum along the Hudson in Kingston and New York City, celebrating their new Uncle [KLP313] LP!
New York, this is your last chance - - - to catch the newest wave of fish narc combustion in the year 2026. This weekend the fish narc crue brings it up the Hudson Valley (Kingston, NY) on Friday then pummel Manhattan and Queens on Saturday with a one-two double barrel kablammy.
Ben Friars-Funkhouser has put together a five piece rock'n'roll combo, practically an orchestra, to sketch out all the nuances to be found on recent fish narc, Uncle [KLP313] LP. Says Ben, "This is my first time operating a five piece. We've got the personnel and I like the line-up a lot. It feels good to have three guitar players!"
The new power line-up of fish narc is set to play the entire Uncle [KLP313] album front to back, and for the first time they will be able to do so sounding "just like the album." The key here is Emma, who is playing bass in fish narc and keyboards in Phantsia, who are opening both evening's shows. This allows Emma to play keyboards on select fish narc songs, for the first time in their live performance history. Yay. And you, dear reader of the K News, now know why it be crucial to not miss these shows! As Ben reminds us, "This is a good opportunity to hear the songs fully rocked out!"
Those nostalgic for the stripped down, Ben Friars-Funkhouser version of fish narc, there is the acoustic show Saturday afternoon (2:00 PM) at Rough Trade Below in Manhattan. This event is free and accessible to audience members of all ages (consult the K Shows page for information about all fish narc happenings).
The brand new fish narc, Uncle [KLP313] album is available from The K Mail Order Dept. and your local underground phonograph record emporium.
