"We've been writing songs since we met in New Brunswick," proclaims Zakary Slax last week on the Go-Go Radio Magic Show (CJLO-AM, Montreal, Quebec) discussing the creative relationship that forms the basis of Feeling Figures. The discussion follows the combo from their Maritime Province roots through their Global Pandemic reinvention as a four piece rock'n'roll band to the arrival of massively satisfying debut album Migration Magic [PRNL052/KLP294]. Guitars, love, bicycle banditry, Quebecois self-determination, 19th century lumberjack cuisine, raising backyard poultry, all are subjects up for discussion on the Go-Go Radio Magic Show when Feeling Figures take the mic.
When Feeling Figures presented Migration Magic last autumn people adopted a play-in-repeat mode to completely immerse themselves, Figuratively speaking. Now everyone wants more. Fortunately there may just be more Feeling Figures music coming up sooooon (perhaps as early as June!) In the meantime, Feeling Figures are playing a few short tourisms about North America. Keep an eye peeled.
