Ambrose Pierce!

 The new Fawns of Love single "Ambrose Pierce" features a duet between the tender tendrils of Fawn lead piercer Jenny Andreotti and the untutored blaze of Calvin Johnson. Released last Friday by Kingfisher Bluez, "Ambrose Pierce" is a preview of the upcoming Fawns of Love album Fear the Softest Gaze (Kingfisher Bluez), out October 27. According to an article in Exclaim!, Ms. Andreotti was inspired to write "Ambrose Pierce" by the story of American Civil War veteran Ambrose Bierce who disappeared in the early 20th century while traveling through Mexico to witness the revolution. His final message to the world was, "As for me, I leave here tomorrow for an unknown destination." Freaky. Almost as freaky as the combination of voices, Jenny and Calvin, heard on "Ambrose Pierce."
