Kendl Winter “Magpies at Sunset”

Pink Elephant's Graveyard

Pantyhose Popscreen Presents more fab Kendl Winter songcraft, live from the bedroom! Before departing by AMTRAK for a tour across the Midwest, Kendl recorded a batch of new songs; this one is called “Magpies at Sunset” and is quite banjo-riffic!

Check out the Kendl Winter album The Mechanics of Hovering Flight [KLP238] (recorded at Dub Narcotic Studio, naturally).

Portland: A Look From Where I’m Standing – A playlist by Jared Wait-Molyneux

Uncategorized

This little collection of Portland-band ditties by Jared Wait-Molyneux of The Shivas is ready for your audible pleasure! His explanation of this list is as follows:
“This is the view from here – more like a glance – a side or two of the Portland underground which may be new and titillating for you. These are a few of the golden children around town living on the fringe and making tomorrow’s hits today.”

Right on, Jared.  Find the Shivas’ latest, Whiteout [KLP243], in the K Mail Order Dept.

K Staff Playlist: Gillian

K Staff Playlist

Our second K spring intern, Gillian Smee, has created this week’s Staff Playlist for The K Mail Order Dept. It’s a lush girls day out including songs by Mirah, Tiger Trap, The Blow, Ruby Fray, and more!

Gillian explains: “Screw the boys.  Go hide in your room and putz around in a female pow-wow of ladies that, for a hot second, are your best bro-hoes in a fit of I-just-off-work-and-hold-me fashion.  Let them serenade you, spice up your sass,  and get on with your day.  It’d be mad bleak without a little girl power spritzed in.”

Gillian Smee‘s Staff Playlist is available in the shop for streaming, downloading, and listening!
