Yume Bitsu – "Golden Vessyl of Sound" (KLP 137)

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

A Golden Vessyl of Sound is the perfect description of Yume Bitsu’s music on their fourth full length album. The group composes ambient soundscapes that take the listener to a psychedelic musical plateau. While a few tracks on the album go for over 8 minutes (“Song Six” is over 18 min.), the sound never gets dull as they fill up the space with pleasant melodies and creative percussion. This Yume Bitsu’s second album on K, and was released in 2002. Yume Bitsu is no longer together as a group, but vocalist/guitarist, Adam Forkner is now creating music under the name, White Rainbow. VVRSSNN is another one of his projects that is worth checking out. Drummer Jason Anderson also has lots of good music of his own, and under the band name, Wolf Colonel. Golden Vessyl of Sound will transport your mind to a mellow place and definitely please your ears.
