Olympia Film Festival, starts today!

Today is the opening of the 27th annual Olympia Film Festival, which K always participates in. This year K is sponsoring The Socalled Movie, which will be screened on Tuesday at 10 pm at the Capitol Theatre. This year has more familiar friends and faces for those who follow K. First, The Gossip will play with The Need on Saturday, November 13th at 10 pm. Secondly, is the exciting documentary about about the cross-country exploits of Chris “The Rapping Cowboy” Sand: Roll Out, Cowboy. This film also follows the rap duo Moustaches, which features Shawn Parke who has re-mixed numerous songs by Mirah, and is featured on the current Hive Dwellers 12″. That film shows on Sunday Nov 14 at 1 pm, at the Capitol Theater. Sandman will also be performing after the screening.

Roll Out, Cowboy prominently features Olympia and features musical tracks by Chris Sand, Moustaches and Mirah. The film has won numerous best documentary olive branch laurels over the summer, and in some ways it is making its home debut.
