Helsing Junction Sleep Over 2014, HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!

The Helsing Junction Sleepover begins today and runs through Sunday afternoon, August 15-17 2014. 

This annual event takes place at the 30 acre Helsing Junction organic farm, a beautiful natural venue, just outside of Rochester, Washington.

Opportunities for camping, picnicking, swimming, underground films and of course rock ‘n’ roll combine for the best summer weekend you can imagine! This year’s artists include:  Arrington De Dionyso’s Malaikat Dan Singa, Tender Forever, The Hive Dwellers, The Shivas, , Ruby Fray, Lois and Pat, Angelo Spencer, PETS, Gary May, Alan Alexander’s Real Time BandNaomi Punk, TransFX, Camp Wisdom, Wampire, Moon By You, The Maxines, Liv Carrow, John Gnorsky, Slashed Tires, Memory Boys, The Hinges, The Super 8, Mona Reels, King Friday, Shells films by Devon Damonte and more!

The second annual Northwest Literary Showcase features Bitch magazine writer Sarah Mirk, Xtra Tuf author and fisherwoman Moe Bowstern, Olympia essayist and comedian Zach Mandeville, poet and musician Sara Renberg, memoirist A.M. O’Malley, Olympia experimental prose writer Sarah Tavis, all hosted by Joshua James Amberson who will be reading from his upcoming young adult novel.

Helsing Junction and K joining forces is a natural union. Each driving home the values of homegrown necessities: whether farms or rock‘n roll. Helsing Junction provides organic vegetables, fruit and flowers and run an 800-member CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program. Their produce is sold direct to New Seasons Markets in Portland, the Olympia Food Co-Op and the Organically Grown Co-Op. Just as Helsing Junction educates the necessity of small farms, K preaches the necessity of locally produced music. This particular event celebrates the community on all levels.

$65 advance pass – includes all events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and camping on Friday and Saturday nights. (This price does not include food.) People of all ages welcome. Children under 12 FREE. Please leave all animals at home, this means NO DOGS.
