‘SHHH’, IT’S A SECRET!!! A new LAKE song, ‘No Wonder I’, is premiering tonight on Cartoon Networks ADVENTURE TIME!! K artists LAKE and Ashley Eriksson (the one behind Adventure Times’ end credits ‘Island Song’) have both been solid buddies with the cult sensation.
LAKEs’ newest album The World Is Real KLP246 is coming out September 17th, and because it’s hard to wait, lead singer Ashley Erikssons’ solo project Colours KLP245 is out July 16th.
Ashley Eriksson wrote and recorded “Island Song”, which plays during the credits of the animated series Adventure Time. A version of “Island Song” was recorded by LAKE (which includes Ashley) as “Christmas Island”, on their album Let’s Build a Roof [KLP213]:

One bright and sunny Friday afternoon (July 22, 2011), LAKE traveled to Portland, Oregon to appear at the studios of Oregon Public Broadcasting for a special OPB Music session. Here they’re playing “Skeleton Costume” from the Giving & Receiving [KLP228] album.
Later that evening LAKE played at Pop Culture in Vancouver, Washington with the Hive Dwellers and Hellokopter.
LAKE is going on a small west coast tour this spring with R. Stevie Moore! Starting out in Vancouver and ending with a set at Boise’s Treefort Music Festival it is sure to be an all out good time. They will be playing songs off of their new upcoming album on K as well as old favorites. Go dance away the end of winter with LAKE and be sure to go check out all of LAKE’s albums in the shop!
