We’ve been acquiring new artifacts to store in the K place of choice, the Pink Elephant’s Graveyard. Phonograph records are stored elsewhere (the DJ Booth) – releases of today and newly uncovered documents of our collective recorded history.

On this episode of the Pink Elephant’s Graveyard hosts Calvin Johnson (Selector Dub Narcotic) and Ian Vanek begin with a stellar NW 45 featuring Karl Blau and Skrill Meadow, with side excursions to LAKE and Mount Analog.

Mount Analog ipu118_grandeA recent pak in the mail that included the debut Augustus Pablo album This Is Augustus Pablo spurs an exploration of Mr. Pablo, the melodica (which Selector Dub Narcotic plays on the Pink Elephant’s Graveyard theme song “The Beat from 20,000 Fathoms”) and assorted dub sides that feature it (see below).

The Pink Elephant’s Gravecast is also available from Stitcher and iTunes.
