Every Memorial Day weekend is the annual Northwest Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center (built in 1962 for the World’s Fair Century 21 Exposition). Mass K artists participated in two diff shows. One was indoors, The Imaginary Fireside: K, and featured Karl Blau, Shana Cleveland & the Sandcastles and Calvin Johnson. The other show was Independent Thinking: K, with Angelo Spencer, Curious Mystery, Nucular Aminals and LAKE. It was a joyous occasion, both. I was so busy enjoying the music I plum forgot to take any photographs. However, I did manage to capture this excerpt from the street performance by Olympia’s Hail Seizures:
