This month we celebrate the new cassette compilation Love Songs for Lamps (which accompanied the July issue of the Believer magazine) by hosting shows across the U.S.A. with some of the many artists featured on it. The above photog reveals Mom and her over-sized baby (with Jared of Shivas in the background) at the L.A., Ca. show. Mom was one of the artists that played all five of the west coast parties. Another was Happy Noose – here is their singer, Ryan:

Tomorrow’s Tulips rocked Calif. with us, and hosted the entire roster at their swingin’ Costa Mesa surfin’ HQ:
Now a quick cut to Sewn Leather:

Laura Leif & APB played all seven Love Songs for Lamps shows (and provided the song from which the title was drawn)! Here they are at our Brooklyn, N.Y. show: Here I am with Christina (Tomorrow’s Tulips) and the ubiquitous Jared (Shivas) at the Santa Ana, Calif. show organized by the kind folks from Burger Records:Ms. Andi Mudd, Managing Editor of the Believer, making an appearance in Frisco:Hysterics began their national tour on the day of our Seattle show:Mom, once again:

Karen (Mississippi Records) and Rachel (Cassingle and Loving It) were among the many cassette labels displaying souvenirs at the Portland show:Katie from Priests (plus my eyebrow):Some groovy weeks with lots of musical hi-jinx. Thanks to everyone who played the shows (not pictured here: Memories, White Rainbow, Broken Water, Baby Island, Old Night, Skrill Meadow, Shana Cleveland & the Sandcastles, KMVP).
