A snippet of the 1996 feature film Half-Cocked, directed my Suki Hawley and featuring our own Ian Svenonius, James Canty, Steve Gamboa and Tara Jane O’Neil. It’s the true story (almost) of a “band” that would have benefited by a week at a rock camp, if only those existed in the early ’90s. Fudge it.
Although they play an adversarial sister-brother dynamic, they made up years later when Tara Jane joined Chain & the Gang in the studio to sing on their “Detroit” single.
The band in Half-Cocked featuring Ian, James and Steve is a ver early version of Make-Up, before Michelle Mae joined the line-up. They had a different name, too, but it is all lost in the long ago.
Half-Cocked is available from Rumur films.
