The super-fantabulous Girl Trouble are playing their Hit It or Quit It [KLP229] album release party Saturday night and have invited Selector Dub Narcotic to join the fray, spinning garage soul Jamaican instro-mental out-of-this-world freedom sounds. It will be punk. It will rock’n’roll. This is the party of the century (which is only 13 years old, but still…).
Hit It or Quit It is the first Girl Trouble album, a co-release between K and Sub/Pop in Autumn 1988. Now, after being out of print for over 20 years, Hit It or Quit It [KLP229] is being re-released on K! Excitement. This party is actually two months before the official street date for the album (January 21), but Hit It or Quit It will be available Saturday on both LP and CD (and it has never been available on CD before!).
If you are unable to attend this Saturday, fear not; you can pre-order Hit it or Quit It from the K Mail Order Dept. and still receive a copy of the album (or digital downloadable) weeks ahead of the maddening crowd.
If you are able to attend this Saturday (November 23), it all happens at Chop Suey, 1325 E. Madison St., Seattle. Also on the bill are the eternal Fall-Outs and Head. Being there and being square is the height of modernity.
