Elizabeth Price Awarded Turner Prize

Elizabeth Price, once a member of the underground pop combo Talulah Gosh, has been awarded the 2012 Turner Prize for her video installation The Woolworths Choir of 1979. The Turner Prize is presented annually by the prestigious Tate Gallery to a British artist under the age of 50 years old. According to the Guardian, The Woolworths Choir of 1979 “combines architecture, a 1960s music performance and a furniture store blaze.” Elizabeth Price discusses her work:
