Dub Narcotic: The Update

Wednesday, July 31st, 2013

Howdy, y’all!

There has been some exciting activity going on downstairs at Dub Narcotic Studio. We’ve been taking extensive inventory of the eclectic collection of Dub Narcotic’s instruments and other sound-making doo-dads, as well as of the wide range of unique hardware and outboard equipment. We will be giving you the option to rent certain items in our audio-arsenal very soon.

Vintage gear–can you dig it? Studio Technician Sam Gray is getting very close to getting this baby back in operation–an RCA 86A1 Limiting Amplifier sent straight from the 1940s. After ordering and installing a custom transformer, all it needs is a few tweaks and back to the rack it will go.

In other news, Calvin Johnson will be available for hire as a studio engineer starting in October. But here’s the catch: He’ll only be working 3 days a month. So, if you’re interested in working with the man behind K, your opportunity has come. Send us an email at studio@krecs.com and we can start a dialogue! Look forward to hearing from you!
