Childhood friends from the grade school playgrounds, Scott Ricketts, Steve Potter, Spencer Kelley, and Gilbert Clapp grew up loving everything ’50s and ’60s… especially the music. For Basemint, they decided to make some good ol’ fashioned garage rock, which includes surf, blues, and even a little hint of soul. But don’t get confused, Basemint is definitely fans of all things punk and weird. These four don’t shy away from an instrumental song, either.
